PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government’s Human Resource Management Department has ordered a major administrative and academic reshuffle in the Higher Education Department, approving the promotions, transfers and fresh postings of 62 senior teachers and education officers.
According to an official notification issued by the department, Associate Professors (BS-19) in the male cadre have been promoted to Professor (BS-20) and subsequently posted to various postgraduate and degree colleges across the province.
The notification stated that all transfers and postings would take effect immediately, with the measures aimed at improving academic and administrative affairs in colleges across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Among the key appointments, Javed Akbar has been relieved of his duties as Additional Director Higher Education and posted as Professor at Government Degree College (GDC) Hayatabad, Peshawar.

Similarly, Dr Syed Ishtiaq Hussain has been posted as Professor at GDC Hayatabad for one day for technical actualization, after which he has been assigned the responsibilities of Additional Director Higher Education again.
Meanwhile, Dr Javed Iqbal (BS-19) has been given charge as Principal of Government Degree College Kohi Sher Haider, Bara, Khyber, on his existing pay scale.
The notification covers colleges in several districts, including Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Swabi, Charsadda, Kohat, Bannu, Khyber and Bajaur.
The newly promoted professors and other officers have been directed to assume their responsibilities immediately at vacant posts in degree and postgraduate colleges.
