ISLAMABAD: The federal government has equipped law enforcement agencies with state-of-the-art equipment to deal with protesters if PTI workers head towards the federal capital, multiple sources told this scribe.

A well-informed senior official said, “We have learned lessons from two previous encounters, in fact our confidence has been further strengthened by them.  This time around 38,000 personnel have been deployed, during PTI’s last march there were less than 20,000 personnel present.

“The official referred to the incident of November 26, 2024, when PTI marched towards the federal capital under a “final call” march demanding the release of Imran Khan, and the clash with Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) in Muridke on October 12, 2025.

He said that this time the number of law enforcement personnel is higher compared to November 2024 and they have more autonomy in terms of action than before. Above all, they have been equipped with the latest equipment. Another official said that as far as security forces are concerned, this time around 38,000 personnel have been deployed, while during PTI’s previous march there were less than 20,000 personnel present.
