PESHAWAR: Newly elected Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi has decided to meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan immediately after taking the oath of office.
The Chief Minister has decided to go to Adiala Jail tomorrow, October 16, where he will meet the PTI founder.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has sent a formal letter to the federal and Punjab governments to make arrangements for the Chief Minister’s meeting.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Home Department has sent a separate letter to the Federal Home Secretary and the Punjab Home Secretary, requesting that all necessary arrangements be made for the meeting so that the Chief Minister can meet Imran Khan.

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf(PTI)leader and elected MPA from Khyber district, Sohail Afridi, was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) to lead the province.
Mr Afridi became the first Chief Minister from the tribal district of the province and from a middle-class family. He was nominated for the Chief Executive position by the PTI’s founder incarcerated Imran Khan, after he removed former CM, Ali Amin Gandapur.
The oath-taking ceremony took place at the governor’s house in Peshawar on Wednesday. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, administered the oath to the CM-elect, Sohail Afridi.
Including the PTI top leadership, workers from Peshawar city and Khyber district participated in the oath-taking ceremony.
