PESHAWAR: The University of Peshawar is organising the fourth chapter of its “Night Steps Through History” programme on October 13 to explore the city’s historical sites after dark.

The event, titled “Discovering Peshawar After Dark,” is being organised by the university’s Department of Archaeology, Tourism and Hotel Management in collaboration with the Culture and Tourism Authority, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Archaeology Museums.

The programme will take participants to Peshawar Museum, the Heritage Trail, Sethi House and Gor Khatri, according to the organizers. Peshawar is one of the oldest historic cities in the region and is known for its rich cultural heritage and historic landmarks.

The city’s old quarters, bazaars, museum, traditional houses and archaeological sites reflect its long history and the different civilisations and communities that have shaped the city over the centuries. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and will start at 2:30pm.

The charges for the tour have been set at Rs1,499 per person and the programme is open to University of Peshawar students only and the registration is still on. The organisers said transport, food, first aid, music and videography facilities will be available during the programme.
