WhatsApp is working on a major redesign of its Android app, with changes focused primarily on the navigation bar, according to a report by WABetaInfo.
The redesign includes a revamped navigation bar with new updates and a refreshed appearance.
According to the report, Meta AI is also being integrated into the navigation bar. In addition to the existing Meta AI button above the compose button, another Meta AI option is being added to the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
The navigation bar is also being made more transparent, giving the Android app an appearance that is more similar to the iOS version.
The report said the redesign is still in the early stages of development and has been spotted in a beta version of the app.
The updated design is currently available to a limited number of users through beta testing. It may take several weeks or months before the redesigned interface is rolled out to all users.
