PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted that weather in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain hot and dry today; however, the northern areas will receive light rain.
Several districts are expected to see light clouds, but there is no significant chance of rain. In the central districts, including Peshawar, Mardan, and Nowshera, hot weather will continue.
The maximum temperature is likely to reach up to 37 degrees Celsius. Wind will blow at a low speed of around 12 kilometers per hour.
Weather in the upper areas, including Swat, Dir and Chitral, will remain comparatively pleasant. In Dir, the temperature will stay between 23 and 28 degrees, and the sky will remain clear. No rainfall is expected there today.
Southern districts Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu will be the hottest, with temperatures rising to 39 degrees. In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which are adjacent to KP, there is a 30 to 36 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms and light rain in the afternoon.
Currently, the air quality is unhealthy, with smog observed in the morning. The weather department says that the same weather pattern will continue for the next two to three days; however, light rain may occur in a few places in upper KP.
