PESHAWAR: The University of Agriculture Peshawar has promoted several Class-IV and other employees to the post of Junior Clerk (BS-11) in recognition of their services, experience and eligibility.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Sarzameen Khan distributed promotion orders among the employees at a ceremony held at the university. The promoted employees expressed their happiness and thanked the Vice Chancellor, Registrar and other university officials for the decision.
According to an office order issued by the Registrar’s Office, the promotions were approved by the Vice Chancellor on the recommendations of the Selection and Promotion Committee (SPC).
The employees promoted to Junior Clerk (BS-11) include Abdul Wadood, Noor Rehman, Karamatullah, Sajid Ali, Abdul Khalil, Murtaza Khan and Muhammad Islam.
Speaking on the occasion, the promoted employees thanked the university administration and expressed their commitment to carrying out their new responsibilities with dedication, honesty and hard work.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Sarzameen Khan congratulated the employees and described their promotions as an important step towards employee welfare, motivation and merit-based professional development.
He urged the employees to play their role in the university’s development, contribute to improving facilities for students and perform their duties with dedication. He said the university administration would work to address employees’ concerns and ensure that no employee was deprived of their rights.
The Vice Chancellor also said the provincial government was focusing on higher education to promote quality education and research in the province.
The ceremony was attended by Deans Professor Dr Humayun Khan, Professor Dr Shah Alam Khan, Professor Dr Zafar Iqbal and Professor Dr Iqbal Munir; Chairman of the Department of Food Science and Technology Professor Dr Muhammad Ayub; Registrar Dr Abdul Salam; Director of the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat Majid Khan; Treasurer Gohar Ali Khan; presidents of university unions; faculty members; administrative officers and other university employees.
