KOHAT: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Kohat on Monday announced the results of the Intermediate Annual-I Examination 2026, with a student from Karak securing the top position with 1,142 marks.
Hadiya Tariq of Oxford Science School and College Chokara, Karak, stood first overall while Muhammad Waleed Yousaf of Cadet College Kohat secured second position with 1,136 marks. Muhammad Shaban Athar stood third with 1,132 marks.
Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Moatasim Billah Shah attended the results announcement ceremony as chief guest while Kohat Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Wazir was the guest of honour.
In the pre-medical group, Hadiya Tariq topped with 1,142 marks, followed by Muhammad Shaban Athar with 1,132 and Toba Zia of Oxford Science School and College Chokara with 1,114 marks.
In the pre-engineering group, Cadet College Kohat students Muhammad Patel and Muammar Zahid Khan jointly secured first position with 1,122 marks each. Huma Mir stood second with 1,069 marks, while Muhammad Umar Hassan secured third position with 1,050 marks.
In the general science group, Muhammad Waleed Yousaf topped with 1,136 marks, followed by Hamad Shehbaz Khan with 1,123 and Tashfeen Iqbal with 1,006 marks.
In the humanities group, Amina Bibi of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Pahli Jung secured first position with 1,012 marks. Aiman Saeed stood second with 1,008 marks, while Nihal Kashif secured third position with 1,007 marks.
According to the board, a total of 54,224 candidates appeared in the first- and second-year examinations, of whom 15,862 were declared successful, putting the overall pass rate at 29.25%.
