Karachi: The downward trend in gold prices continues in Pakistan, while rates have also declined in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola in the country decreased by Rs2,700, bringing the new rate to Rs457,536. A statement issued by the association indicates that the price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs2,315, settling at Rs392,263.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola in the country remained unchanged at Rs7,100. A decline in gold prices was also recorded in the international market. According to the association, the global price of gold dropped by $27 to reach $4,350 per ounce.
