PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has summoned three contractors as witnesses in connection with alleged financial irregularities and violations of rules in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project.
Three separate call-up notices have been issued by NAB, directing the responsible persons of the concerned companies to appear at the NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa office in Hayatabad, Peshawar, on September 22.
According to the NAB notices, the investigation is related to financial irregularities and alleged violations with respect to the Project Management Unit, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project, and other concerned persons.
It has been stated in the notice that on the basis of information received from credible sources, the competent authorities of NAB have taken notice and started an investigation.
NAB has summoned the heads of three different joint ventures as witnesses due to their being aware of the facts and circumstances of the case. In the notices, the concerned persons have been directed to bring details of their bank accounts and other necessary information and records related to the project.
