PARIS: Instagram has introduced a new feature that gives users greater control over the content displayed on their profile grids.
Adam Mosseri, CEO of Instagram, announced this new feature in a video posted on his Instagram account. The goal of this simple update is to give users greater control over what appears on their profile by allowing them to add photos and videos their friends have tagged them.
According to foreign media reports, Instagram will now allows users to directly add posts in which they have been tagged to their main profile grids. For example, if a friend shares a group photo and tags a user in it, the user can now choose to display that post on their own profile without having to repost or upload the same image again.
The feature provides an easier way for users to showcase photos and other content shared by their friends while keeping the original post intact. Instagram said the feature could also benefit creators working through partnerships. Instead of republishing sponsored or collaborative content, creators can display posts in which they have been tagged directly on their profiles.
In June 2026, Instagram introduced another feature that allowed users to rearrange the order of posts displayed on their profile grids.
