DUBAI: Pakistan women’s cricketer Gull Feroza has been fined 10 percent of her match fee for breaching the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Code of Conduct during the Women’s Asia Cup Group A match against Hong Kong.
The incident took place during Pakistan’s innings in the fifth over when Feroza was given out leg before wicket (LBW). The batter appeared to express disagreement with the umpire’s decision by indicating that she had edged the delivery and showing her bat.
Feroza was found guilty of violating Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct which deals with showing dissent towards the umpire’s decision during an international game. This is a Level 1 violation of the ICC Code of Conduct.
Along with the fine, Feroza has been awarded one demerit point. It was her second violation within 24 months, bringing her disciplinary points in that period to two.
Previously, Feroza was awarded one demerit point for an incident in Pakistan’s Women’s T20 World Cup league game against Australia on June 23, 2026.
Feroza took responsibility for her actions and accepted the penalty imposed by Supriya Rani Das, an Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees. This led to the absence of a hearing.
The accusations were made by on-field umpires Rabab Ahsan and Rokeya Sultana, third umpire Shivani Mishra and fourth umpire Shathira Jakir.
According to the ICC regulations, the Level 1 offense may carry a warning from the board, a fine of up to 50% of a match fee of the player, and one or two demerit points.
England U19 Set for Pakistan Challenge as 15-Player Squad Announced
Meanwhile, England Men’s Under-19 team has announced a 15-player squad for the upcoming four-match Youth ODI series against Pakistan U19, with the opening match scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, at Arundel Castle Cricket Club.
Surrey’s Ralphie Albert will captain England throughout the series, which will conclude on September 16.
Nine members of the squad were also part of England’s U19 Test team that defeated Pakistan at Arundel the previous week. Albert and Jack Nelson played key roles in that victory, with the spin duo taking all 10 wickets in Pakistan’s second innings.
Wicketkeeper Joe Moores has been selected for the first Youth ODI only before joining the England Lions squad.
With regular England Men’s U19 head coach Mike Yardy unavailable due to his involvement with England’s third Rothesay Test against Pakistan, Neil Killeen will take charge of the U19 side during the Youth ODI series. Former England white-ball international Sam Billings has also joined the coaching setup.

Pakistan U19 will be captained by Farhan Yousaf, with Shahid Anwar serving as head coach.
Farhan previously led Pakistan to the ACC U19 Asia Cup title in December 2025, highlighting the strength of the visiting side.
Pakistan’s 15-player touring squad includes Abdul Qadir, Abdul Subhan, Ahmad Hussain, Aliyan Salman, Hamza Zahoor, Hasnain Abbas Dar, Hayam Khan, Jahangir Bilal, Mohammad Sayyam, Mohammad Huzaifa, Niqab Shafiq, Rizwanullah, Umar Zaib and Usman Khan, alongside captain Farhan Yousaf.
