Gold prices in Pakistan and the international market have continued a downward trend, providing some relief to buyers amid ongoing economic fluctuations.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by PKR 1,000, settling at PKR 462,136. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold saw a reduction of PKR 857, bringing it down to PKR 396,207. While gold prices experienced a decline, the silver market moved in the opposite direction. The price of silver per tola increased by PKR 10, reaching PKR 7,069.
In the international market, spot gold prices dropped by $10 per ounce, bringing the global rate down to $4,396 per ounce. Market analysts attribute these domestic price adjustments primarily to shifts in international bullion rates and currency exchange fluctuations affecting local purchasing power.
