PESHAWAR: People in the different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday expressed their solidarity with the Security Forces amid tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan across the Pak-Afghan border, which resulted in losses on both sides of the border.
Rallies were held in multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Swat, Charsadda, Khyber, Mardan, Peshawar, Dir Lower, Dir Upper , Dera Ismail Khan and Abbottabad, where citizens expressed their solidarity with the security forces.
Carrying placards, banners inscribed with slogans in support of Pakistani security forces and against the Afghanistan-Taliban. Rallies participants walked through the different streets of their respective districts.
People strongly condemned the unprovoked firing by the Taliban on the Pak-Afghan border and reiterated their resolve to stand by their brave Pakistani forces in every difficult moment.
Public representatives, local leaders and people of different schools of thought said that the Pakistan Army has always given a befitting reply to the enemy’s aggression and in the recent incident too, it has given a clear message to the enemy by giving a bold and effective response to the provocations by Afghanistan.
They further said that Afghanistan should acknowledge the fact that the Pakistan Army is not only the protector of the geographical borders of the beloved homeland but is also at the forefront of the bearers of the religion of Islam.
The Pakistan Army has taught a lesson to an enemy like India in the past and is capable of giving a befitting reply to any aggressive move in the future as well.
The people of the Swat district said in their message that they salute the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and express complete solidarity with their forces to defend the motherland.

The spokesperson for the district administration, Swat, said that there is a spirit of complete solidarity and support for the Pakistani armed forces among the people across the district. The people of Swat, as always, are united to defend their homeland.
