ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has warned applicants against individuals posing as authorized “HEC attestation agents” and urged citizens to use only the commission’s official procedures and website for verification of educational documents.

On X, the HEC said unauthorized individuals in various cities were offering to assist applicants in getting their educational documents attested by the commission. It cautioned applicants to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to possible fraud and forgery.

The commission advised applicants not to share their personal or educational information with unauthorized individuals, stressing that such information could be misused for fraudulent activities.

According to the HEC, the attestation process for educational documents is completely online and paperless, providing applicants with a fast, convenient and simplified service. Applicants have been advised to submit their attestation requests personally by following the official guidelines and procedures.

The commission clarified that there is no need to rely on private individuals or agents to process attestation cases.
The HEC urged the public to use only its official website and authorized channels for document attestation and warned against trusting anyone claiming to be an HEC agent without official authorization.
