LONDON: Pakistan’s batting collapsed against England as the visitors were bowled out for just 110 runs in their first innings on the second day of the Lord’s Test, conceding a substantial 180-run lead.
Pakistan’s batting line-up failed to withstand England’s bowling attack, with only two batters managing to reach double figures.
Azaan Owais top-scored for Pakistan with 46 runs, while Saud Shakeel contributed 16. Captain Babar Azam scored eight, Mohammad Rizwan made seven and Abdullah Shafique was dismissed for five.
Shan Masood, Ali Usman and Khurram Shahzad could manage only one run each.
For England, Ollie Robinson was the pick of the bowlers, claiming four wickets. Jofra Archer took three wickets, while Josh Tongue picked up two.

Earlier, England were bowled out for 290 in their first innings on the second day of the second Test against Pakistan at Lord’s on Friday.
Jamie Smith top-scored for England with 61 runs, while Jordan Cox contributed 55. For Pakistan, fast bowlers Mohammad Abbas claimed four wickets and Mohammad Ali took three.
England resumed their innings on the second morning with Gus Atkinson on 34 and Josh Tong on one. The hosts had finished the opening day on 248 for nine after 56 overs.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to field, with their pace attack making the most of the favourable bowling conditions and putting England’s top order under pressure.
After England’s early batting collapse, Cox and Smith steadied the innings with composed half-centuries, scoring 55 and 61 respectively, before Pakistan’s bowlers wrapped up the innings at 290.
