Using Google to find information has become a part of daily life. However, psychologists and cyber security experts warn that searching for every type of query on the search engine can sometimes lead to serious harm.

Searching for certain sensitive and wrong topics online can put a person under severe mental stress, cause psychological issues, and even lead to legal trouble.

Looking up minor physical issues like headaches or fatigue online often leads people to assume a common illness is something fatal. This can trigger cyberchondria, which is the obsessive anxiety about having a serious disease based on internet searches.

Experts advise against searching for cancer symptoms online. Early signs of cancer often resemble common infections, and a proper diagnosis can only be made through lab tests.

Searching for keywords related to weapons manufacturing, terrorism, or criminal acts is extremely dangerous. Cyber security agencies monitor such activity closely, and even a search out of curiosity can lead to serious legal action.

Repeatedly watching videos and reading about scary animals, venomous snakes, or insects can create lasting phobias and constant anxiety.

Cyber security experts also say that frequently Googling your own name can impact privacy. Data-tracking algorithms start storing and profiling your information based on this behavior.

Medical and legal experts recommend using search engines only for general information. For health and safety-related matters, people should consult doctors and professionals directly instead of relying on the internet.
