Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan left Adiala Jail on Friday in a police convoy for Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, amid tight security arrangements.
According to media reports, Khan was escorted by police as the convoy departed the jail in Rawalpindi for Islamabad. Additional police personnel were deployed along the route, with security tightened for the movement.
The transfer is being carried out in the context of a Supreme Court order concerning Khan’s medical examination.
Upon reaching Islamabad, Khan is expected to be taken to Shifa International Hospital, where a medical board will conduct his medical examination, according to the reports.
The hospital visit is being arranged under the directions of the Supreme Court.
