Pakistan’s women’s netball team secured a major victory at the Asian Netball Championship 2026 in Hong Kong, defeating Thailand 55-50 to claim the Plate Division title.
The victory also earned Pakistan qualification for the Cup Division of the next Asian Netball Championship, scheduled to be held in Singapore in 2028.
Saba Noor Anwar, Maya, Lia Raza Shah, Hina Chaudhry, Serena Naseem, Jasmine, Farah, Noor-ul-Ain and Samaya Safdar delivered impressive performances for Pakistan during the championship.
The national team displayed excellent teamwork, discipline and determination throughout the match to secure the title.
The achievement has sparked celebrations across Pakistan, with the players receiving widespread praise and appreciation for bringing international glory to the country.
