ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced new prices for petroleum products, reducing the price of petrol while increasing the rate of diesel.

According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, petrol has been reduced by Rs 1.70 per litre, bringing its new price to Rs 325.92 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of diesel has been increased by Rs 1.39 per litre, taking its new price to Rs 382.25 per litre.

The government has also increased the petroleum levy on diesel by Rs 2 per litre, bringing the levy to Rs 76.28 per litre.

Meanwhile, the petroleum levy on petrol has been kept unchanged at Rs 80 per litre, while the levy on kerosene remains at Rs20.36 per litre.

The revised petroleum prices and levy rates have been notified by the relevant authorities.

The revised petroleum prices have been announced for August 12 and will remain applicable in accordance with the government’s latest notification.
