PESHAWAR: The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have come out strongly against the provincial government, accusing PTI’s long rule of pushing the province to the brink of collapse through worst mismanagement, corruption, and wrong political priorities.
Citizens said the government’s performance is “limited only to rallies and processions” and that “nothing is visible on the ground.” They added that “sometimes one date is given for Imran Khan’s release and sometimes another date.”Criticizing members of the provincial assembly, people said MPAs “do not talk about peace or public issues, but only say we will go to this square today and that square tomorrow.
“Serious concerns were also raised over finances. According to the public, the province has received Rs 3,114 billion in NFC Award and Rs 3,774 billion in the name of terrorism. But “there has been no reduction in terrorism. Police have neither been given weapons nor have police stations been built.” They also claimed that “the share of tribal districts in the NFC Award was not spent on tribal areas.
“The most serious allegations were made against the Chief Minister. People said “Now Sohail Afridi’s brother has come. His role is that he does transfers for money, and if someone doesn’t pay, their transfer is not done.” They further claimed that “even their own MPAs say that Sohail has appointed his brother for corruption.
“The public also raised the issue of illegal mining and demanded that “action should be taken against those involved.”Summing up the situation, citizens said “It feels like this province is running without a government. No one is there to listen to us.” Along with education, health, and infrastructure problems, people said “the biggest issue in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa right now is insecurity.
“This reaction comes at a time when the province is facing major challenges related to security, economy, and administration.
