Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mohammad Suhail Afridi visited Khyber district and laid the foundation stones for five development projects worth more than Rs2 billion in Jamrud.
The chief minister inaugurated the construction of a Nursing College in Jamrud at an estimated cost of Rs636 million. He also launched a Rs32 million project to establish Artificial Intelligence (AI) classrooms at the Institute of Applied Sciences.
In addition, he laid the foundation stone for a Rs502 million project aimed at restoring and solarising 21 clean drinking water supply schemes to improve access to safe drinking water in the area.
The chief minister also launched a Rs430 million beautification project for Jamrud Bazaar to enhance the town’s infrastructure and commercial environment.
Furthermore, he inaugurated a Rs424 million project for the expansion, rehabilitation and improvement of the 10-kilometre Takhta Beg Detour Road in Bara, which is expected to improve connectivity and facilitate local transportation.
The projects are part of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s broader efforts to strengthen public infrastructure, improve essential services and promote sustainable development in the merged districts.
