SWABI: The Federal Investigation Agency’s Composite Circle Mardan launched a major operation at Bacha Khan Medical Complex in Shahmansoor and recovered an illegal gas connection to the Doctor Hostel.
After receiving information about an alleged illegal gas connection inside the facility. During the raid, FIA officials discovered what they described as an unauthorized gas pipeline network that was reportedly supplying gas directly to the doctors’ hostels within the medical complex.
The SNGPL In-charge for Swabi was present at the site, and his statement was recorded. According to FIA officials, the official expressed ignorance about the alleged illegal setup and distanced SNGPL from the matter.
Following the discovery, a formal inquiry has been registered. FIA has started investigations to determine how the pipeline was installed, who authorized it, and whether any hospital staff or other individuals were involved.
“The investigation will identify all possible suspects and responsible officials. Legal action will be taken against those found guilty based on evidence,” an FIA official said.
Bacha Khan Medical Complex is one of the largest public hospitals in the district and serves thousands of patients from Swabi and nearby areas. The alleged illegal gas connection at doctors’ hostels has raised questions about oversight and accountability within the institution. Authorities say the inquiry is ongoing and further action will follow once the findings are complete.
