ISLAMABAD: The federal government has increased the price of kerosene by Rs7.80 per litre, following the recent upward revision in petrol and high-speed diesel prices.
According to a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs297.17 per litre, up from the previous rate of Rs289.37 per litre.
OGRA said the revised price will remain effective only for July 23, adding that a fresh announcement regarding kerosene pricing will be made on Thursday night.
The latest adjustment comes after the government’s recent revisions to petroleum product prices and is expected to add to the financial burden on consumers already grappling with rising fuel and living costs.
