PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has announced a major reshuffle involving senior officers, with transfers and new appointments taking immediate effect under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
According to a notification issued by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, seven police officers have been transferred and assigned new postings in the public interest.
Under the reshuffle, Mohammad Arshad Zahid (PSP, BS-18), who was awaiting posting at the Central Police Office (CPO) Peshawar, has been placed at the disposal of the Additional Inspector General of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for further assignment.
Khalid Mahmood Afzal (PSP, BS-18), also awaiting posting at the CPO Peshawar, has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) City Kohat.
Among the BS-17 officers, DSP Zarif Khan, previously serving as SP/Director of the Police Training School (PTS) Swabi, has been transferred as SP/Director, Police School of Tactics, Nowshera.
DSP Iftikhar Ali has been moved from SP City Kohat to SP/Director, PTS Swabi. Both officers will continue to serve on their existing pay scales.
In other appointments, DSP Mukhtiar Ali has been transferred from SP Administration, Frontier Reserve Police (FRP) Headquarters, Peshawar, to SP Saddar Mardan, while DSP Mohammad Arshad Khan has been moved from SP Warsak, CCPO Peshawar, to SP Operations Hangu.
Additionally, DSP Roshanzada has been transferred from SP Saddar Mardan to SP Academic, PTS Dera Ismail Khan.
The notification states that all transfers and appointments have come into effect immediately.
