Saudi Airlines has inaugurated its new office in Peshawar, which aims to improve services for travellers of Hajj and Umrah from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The office was formally inaugurated on Wednesday by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi during a ceremony held in the provincial capital. Speaking at the event, Governor Kundi said the opening of the office would significantly improve travel services for citizens, particularly those traveling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj and Umrah.
“Thousands of people from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa perform Hajj and Umrah every year. This office will provide them with direct access to ticketing, booking and customer services right here in Peshawar,” the governor said.
He also termed the visit of the Saudi Ambassador to KP a positive development for the province and expressed hope that it would lead to further cooperation. Governor Kundi further requested the Saudi Ambassador to establish a Saudi consulate in Peshawar to facilitate the people of the region with consular services.
Highlighting bilateral ties, he said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy strong brotherly relations and that the Kingdom has always stood by Pakistan in difficult times. With the new Peshawar office, Saudi Airlines aims to reduce the burden on travelers from KP who previously had to travel to Islamabad or Karachi for airline services.
