NEW DELHI: Reports circulating on social media related to Indian media are claiming that unknown hackers have targeted the broadcasts of some news channels in India, due to which unexpected content has been broadcast during live broadcasts.
According to reports, the broadcasts of TV Nine Telugu and Freedom TV Kannada have allegedly been affected by a cyber-attack. It has been claimed that the broadcast of TV Nine Telugu was interrupted during the speech of the Indian President, and the national anthem of Pakistan was broadcast for some time.
So far, there has been no complete confirmation of this incident from independent sources, while no official and detailed statement has been issued by the relevant Indian channels or authorities. According to cybersecurity experts, if external interference is proven in the broadcast of a TV channel, a full technical investigation is conducted to determine the nature of the attack, the responsible elements, and possible security flaws.
Meanwhile, videos and various claims of this alleged incident are circulating rapidly on social media, but their authenticity is yet to be officially confirmed. The true nature of the incident will be clear only after the investigation by the authorities is completed.
