The PPP’s nominee for the slot of Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan, Amjad Hussain will take oath of the office on July 1st.

The oath-taking ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm at the Chief Minister Secretariat Chinar Bagh in Gilgit. The PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is expected to attend the ceremony, along with senior party leaders.

The PPP has nominated Amjad Hussain as candidate for CM and no other party fielded nominee for the slot, thus Amjad Hussain, was elected unopposed as the Leader of the House, a few days earlier.

Besides others, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and federal ministers have also been invited to attend this important event. In this connection, all arrangements have already been finalized for the oath-taking ceremony. Special security arrangements have also been taken.

Following the swearing-in of the new Chief Minister, the process of forming a new government in Gilgit-Baltistan will begin formally, which is likely to further accelerate political activities in the region.
