PTI has issued a show cause notice to its National Assembly member Iqbal Afridi for violating party discipline, stating that he has consistently behaved inappropriately and used impolite language towards party members.
The show cause notice states that he violated the decisions of the parliamentary party during the proceedings of the National Assembly and planned to attack party members outside Adiala Jail on June 23.
In the show cause notice, the member of the assembly was told that one of his colleagues attacked several members of the assembly, and he himself was directly involved in this attack. The notice states that his behavior has damaged the reputation of the party in public, so submit your written response within 7 days of receiving the notice.
Sources within the party revealed that the decision to issue a show cause notice was made during a PTI parliamentary party meeting, where members discussed Afridi’s conduct and his recent altercations with fellow party lawmakers. Afridi had a dispute with PTI leader Junaid Akbar during the previous parliamentary session. He was also involved in an argument with MNA Sibghatullah outside Adiala Jail.
