Sultan, an employee of Bannu University of Science and Technology, Bannu, has alleged that despite losing both his legs due to an accident during duty, his retirement case on medical grounds has been delayed for the past year.
According to Sultan, he met with a serious accident while performing his official duties, as a result of which both his legs were affected, and he became permanently disabled. He said that the concerned medical board had completed the recommendations of his case on July 29, 2025, and sent it to the concerned authorities; however, despite the passage of a year, no final decision has been taken on his case.
The affected employee further alleged that he was given hints through his sons that if he wants to complete the retirement process based on the medical board soon, he will have to pay money. Sultan has called this process injustice and corruption and demanded that the higher authorities take immediate notice.
He said that his family is facing severe difficulties due to disability and financial difficulties, while the delay in the retirement case has further increased his worries. Sultan has appealed to the provincial government, the relevant department, and accountability institutions to conduct a transparent investigation into his case and take an immediate decision on its merits.
