SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: The local administration has announced a curfew in most areas of Sarwekai Tehsil, Upper South Waziristan from 6 AM to 7 PM today (Saturday).

According to the official notification, all markets and commercial centers will remain closed during the curfew, while residents have been instructed to stay indoors.

The administration clarified that entry on routes from Qandhari to Saplatoi and from Barond to Molay Khan Sarai will be strictly prohibited.

It added that citizens will only be allowed to travel in cases of extreme emergency with prior permission from the police or security forces, for which presentation of national identity cards and other required documents will be mandatory.

The notification further instructed residents to pull their vehicles off the road at least 100 meters away if they see security convoys, so that troop movements and operations are not disrupted.

The district administration appealed to the public to strictly follow all instructions in support of law and order and the work of security agencies. The step has been taken to ensure peace and prevent potential threats in the region.
