Rajasthan Royals’ young batsman Vaibhav Suryawanshi has set a new record for the most sixes in a single T20 tournament by hitting 65 sixes in the ongoing IPL 2026.
He achieved this milestone during the Eliminator match played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals.
Previously, the record for the most sixes in a single season was held by Chris Gayle, who hit 59 sixes in the 2012 IPL. Notably, Gayle accomplished this feat in 456 balls, while Suryawanshi reached 65 sixes in just 266 balls.
In a message on the social media platform X, Chris Gayle praised Vaibhav, calling him an extraordinary player who provided great entertainment to the fans.
