Quetta: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that Indian-backed terrorists targeted innocent civilians in a barbaric attack in Pathak Chaman of Balochistan. Those who fell victim to this menace of terrorism will always be remembered.
A high-level meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Sunday after the deadly attack to discuss an initial report regarding the blast near Quetta’s Chaman Phatak.
The meeting was attended by senior officers from law enforcement agencies, including the Inspector General of Balochistan Police. Participants strongly condemned the cowardly and brutal attack on innocent citizens and expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims.
The officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring that those responsible for this incident will be brought to justice at all costs. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that the federal government fully supports the Balochistan government during this difficult time.
He said that the terrorists have displayed extreme brutality by targeting innocent individuals. Still, the sacrifices made by the martyrs will always be remembered, and their blood will not be in vain.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti expressed gratitude to the Federal Interior Minister for standing by the Balochistan government in challenging times. He assured that the provincial government is indebted to the sacrifices of the martyrs and that those responsible for the attack will face justice.
He further asserted that the families of the martyrs will receive unwavering support.
The meeting also focused on monitoring the best possible treatment for the injured, ensuring they receive immediate and comprehensive medical care. Attendees, including the IG Balochistan Police and other law enforcement officials, were briefed on the initial investigation report and the current security situation.
