Four people were killed in firing by unknown persons in Atal Sharif, a suburb of Tehsil Kalachi of Dera Ismail Khan, which spread panic in the area.
According to police officials, the deceased were members of the local peace committee. After the incident, the attackers also took a body with them.
Police said that a case of the incident has been registered against unknown persons while an investigation has been initiated.
Officials say that a search operation is being considered in the area to find the accused so that the elements involved in the incident can be arrested as soon as possible.
This sad incident is once again raising questions about the law and order situation in the area.
