SHANGLA: Two workers were trapped due to landsliding in a well during excavation work in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kandai, Chakesar of Shangla, on Thursday.
According to locals, four workers were trapped inside a water well due to a landslide in the Kandai area of Shangla district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Local villagers began rescue efforts to retrieve the trapped workers, but they faced difficulties due to a lack of necessary tools, machinery, and expert assistance.
Fortunately, they managed to safely pull two of the four stranded workers out of the well. These workers were then taken to the Rural Health Centre in Chakesar for first aid before being transferred to a larger hospital.
Witnesses reported that the well is approximately 80 feet deep, and with time passed, the chances of survival for the remaining workers were decreasing.
The trapped labourers were identified as Muhammad Abbas and another individual.
