PESHAWAR: Complaints from Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leaders regarding the expansion of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet have emerged after the oath-taking ceremony.

Former KP Governor and PTI leader Shah Farman congratulated the new cabinet members but stated that, as a member of the party’s Internal Accountability Committee, he was not consulted about the cabinet expansion and did not suggest any names for inclusion.

Former PTI provincial minister Naik Muhammad expressed concerns that the new appointments were not made based on merit.

He noted that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has been unresponsive and does not answer their calls, which are not for requesting ministerial positions.

Naik Muhammad also pointed out that relatives of MNAs were appointed to the cabinet, while individuals from South and North Waziristan, as well as Bannu, were not represented at all.

It is important to mention that the provincial government has expanded the cabinet to include six new ministers, four advisors, and eight special assistants.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has administered the oath of office to these new cabinet members.
