PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party Central Secretary General Muhammad Humayun Khan has condemned and expressed serious reservations over the Prime Minister’s recent visit to Gilgit-Baltistan, stating that any interference in the electoral process will not be tolerated.
He said that official visits by the Prime Minister and other government officeholders during the election period raise serious questions about the transparency and fairness of the electoral process. During the visit, several development projects and special packages were announced, which could directly influence the election environment and voters’ opinions.
Muhammad Humayun Khan demanded that the Election Commission immediately take notice and impose restrictions on politically motivated visits by the Prime Minister and federal ministers during the election period to ensure a level playing field for all political parties.
He stated that Pakistan Peoples Party has always believed in free, fair, and impartial elections and will strongly oppose any undemocratic or biased actions.
