NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Curfew to be imposed on May 16 due to the movement of security forces in North Waziristan on Saturday.
The District Administration of North Waziristan has issued an important public information notification regarding the movement of security forces and has directed the public to take precautionary measures.
According to the District Administration notification, security forces will continue to move throughout the district from 5 am to 7 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
During this time, orders have been issued to avoid any untoward incident and in view of security operational needs. All citizens have been directed to suspend all their daily activities on Saturday, and the public has been requested to fully cooperate with the law enforcement agencies so that the movement process can be completed peacefully.
The District Administration has clarified that the already-enforced night curfew hours in the district will remain in effect. The curfew will continue from 10 pm to 6 am. Citizens are advised to avoid stepping out of their homes during this period. These measures have been taken to maintain law and order and provide safe passage to security forces convoys.
Citizens have been directed to contact the local administration in case of any emergency and to follow government orders instead of listening to rumors.
