The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics internship program for July–August 2026 is now open, offering students and graduates hands-on research experience in Islamabad.

Interns will work within Pakistan’s leading economic think tank. Consequently, selected participants will benefit from direct mentorship by senior economists. This guidance helps bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world policy application. Additionally, participants will engage in professional networking and receive a certificate of completion.

Candidates from diverse analytical backgrounds are eligible to apply. Specifically, the program welcomes students in Economics, Public Policy, Public Finance, and Statistics. Moreover, the institute encourages students specializing in Data Science to apply.

These individuals can bring valuable technical expertise to ongoing research projects. To begin the process, interested individuals must submit their details via the official PIDE Internship Portal.

The application deadline is May 31, 2026. Therefore, prospective interns should prepare their academic credentials and research interests promptly. This program serves as a significant stepping stone for various careers. For example, it is ideal for those pursuing international development or government advisory roles.  By working on the PIDE campus, interns will see the intersection of data-driven analysis and national planning firsthand.
