LAHORE: The Hyderabad Kingsmen are batting against Peshawar Zalmi in the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11. The match is being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to field first.
The innings of the Hyderabad Kingsmen opened with captain Marnus Labuschagne and Moaz Sadaqat. The first wicket fell in the second over when Moaz Sadaqat was dismissed for 11 runs, which included a six and a four. Captain Marnus Labuschagne followed suit, getting caught out after scoring 20 runs, bringing the total to 51. Usman Khan then contributed only 8 runs before he too was out, increasing the total to 71. Irfan Khan managed just 1 run before his dismissal, and newcomer Maxwell was out without scoring any runs at all.
Kushal Perera was run out after adding just one run, bringing the total to 73. Hasan Khan scored 12 runs before being caught by Hardy, resulting in the loss of the 7th wicket with the total score at 90. Hyderabad Kings lost 7 players within the first 10 overs, with their score at 90.
Peshawar Zalmi made one change to their lineup, bringing in Naheed Rana to replace Khurram Shahzad. The Hyderabad Kings made no changes to their team.
After winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam stated that they would stick to their game plan and aim for strong team performance, emphasising that a better understanding of the match situation can lead to success.
Hyderabad Kings captain Marnus Labuschagne expressed his excitement about the match, noting that he has been feeling good in the lead-up to this final. As it is his first PSL, he is eager to perform well. He also remarked that the wicket looks promising and confirmed that there were no changes in their team.
