As per the Ministry of Energy information, 32 percent of taxes are imposed on the price of one liter of petrol, and taxes of Rs 129.72 are included in the price of one liter of petrol in Pakistan.
Per liter of petrol, 23.72 are customs duties, while 103.50 are levies and 2.50 are climate support levies. Petrol 6.51 and diesel 19.39 are expensive per liter.
Sources say that 21 percent of taxes are imposed on the price of one liter of diesel, and 82.81 percent of taxes are in the price of one liter of diesel.
A customs duty of Rs 51.62 is imposed on the price of one liter of diesel, and a levy of Rs 28.69 is included in the price of one liter of diesel, while 2.50 is a climate support levy.
