TEHRAN: Iranian authorities have issued a stern warning regarding their response to the ongoing US blockade, with officials promising an action that will be remembered. The threat follows the announcement by the United States about its blockade against Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran’s officials have termed the act as ‘piracy,’ and that the US is trying to interfere with international commerce, thereby illegally seizing their property.

The officials stated that Iran had the right to act decisively when provoked and that the US’s act was illegal.

The Iranian army is also preparing for an escalation of events at any time. The Iranian armed forces are busy revising their list of targets even while there is an agreement between the two nations to stop fighting. “We do not see the end of the war even if there is a ceasefire.” This was the statement from one of the spokespersons for the Iranian Army. The Iranian leaders have vowed to take action against the Americans for their blockade of Iran, which is harming Iran economically.

In reply to Iran’s diplomatic efforts, US President Donald Trump refused to accept Iran’s proposals and emphasized that the blockade will continue until a deal has been struck formally. The United States has been insisting on the necessity of the blockade for security concerns and as a way to stop Iran from creating nuclear weapons.

The US military, as reported by reliable sources, came up with the strategy to use “short and powerful attacks” on the facilities of Iran. The attacks are believed to be made against some key sites in Iran as a way of resolving the deadlock in the process of negotiations between the two nations. After completing such attacks, the US will try to put additional pressure on Iran so as to make it return to the talks in a more flexible manner. However, Iran believes that military moves will only increase tensions.
