At least three workers died and three others were injured when a phosphate mine collapsed in the Malakan area of Abbottabad on Tuesday evening.
According to the Rescue 1122, the tragic accident occurred in the Malakan area, within the limits of Rewaiya of Abbottabad, when a phosphate mine collapsed. This incident resulted in the deaths of three workers and serious injuries to three others.
Details indicate that the workers were actively mining in a site operated by contractor Nawab Ali when the mine suddenly collapsed. Six workers were buried under the debris as a result of the incident. Rescue operations successfully recovered the bodies of three workers, while the injured were promptly taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Muzammil, Miftah, and Shoaib, all residents of Gilgit. The injured include Zia (whose residence is unknown), Naveed, son of Khawaja, and Anjum, son of Javed, both residents of Malakan.
Police and local rescue teams are currently on-site, and further actions are underway.
