ISLAMABAD: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has praised Pakistan’s role in efforts aimed at ending the war imposed on Iran and achieving an immediate ceasefire.
According to a statement issued by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi praised Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives, particularly its efforts in hosting negotiations and promoting peace and stability in the region.
Earlier in the day, Araghchi, accompanied by a high-level delegation, held a key meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.
During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on bilateral relations as well as the overall regional situation.
