Another innocent life lost: TikTok video turns tragic in Peshawar

Earlier, a 10-year-old Awais, a fifth-grade student from Tehkal Pulsoi lost his life while filming a TikTok video at home. The child, who had placed a pistol near the mirror while shooting his video, unintentionally discharged the weapon, resulting in fatal injuries.

According to the Express News reports, Awais had possession of a cell phone because he was part of the WhatsApp group of his school, where the students were exchanging material. While he was recording a TikTok video, he accidentally pulled the trigger, not know whatsoever how to operate the weapon properly. What was unfortunate being that the weapon was shot due to its proximity to Awais.

Awais’ father Saifur Rahman mentioned the following: “He had gone to school with the rest of his friends; unfortunately, he died as a result of a tiny mistake he made by him.” The family of Awais has to grieve about their loss because, according to Saifur Rahman, his wife could not stand all that had happened.

It can be seen that the recent incident reflects a concerning development among the younger generation regarding video shooting with weapons on social networking platforms. Several experts have expressed their concerns regarding the growing instances of accidents related to firearms due to the careless usage of weapons while recording videos.
