A special exhibition of the famous Russian film “Assa” (1987) was organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Islamabad, with the aim of promoting cultural relations between Pakistan and Russia.

The event was organized on the occasion of the 90th birthday of the renowned Russian actor and director Stanislav Govorkhan, in which personalities from diplomatic, cultural, and civil society participated. Chairman of the Eurasian Peoples Friendship Forum, Pakistan, Dr. Saqib Khan, also attended the event along with his delegation. His participation is being described as a reflection of the growing cultural relations between Pakistan and Russia.

The participants appreciated the film exhibition and said that film, art, and culture play an important role in promoting intercultural harmony and mutual understanding. At the end, a traditional tea was also organized by the Russian Embassy, ​​in which the participants emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral ties through informal meetings and exchanges.

This cultural activity is being described as an important step towards further promoting relations between Pakistan and Russia and creating new opportunities for cooperation in the future.
