Gold prices surged in Pakistan and hit a new record in the local market, reaching more than the Rs 400,000 mark for the first time in Pakistan.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, a big increase of Rs 5,900 was recorded in the local market today, after which the new price of gold per tola has become Rs 403,600.
Similarly, 10 grams of gold has also become expensive by Rs 5,058 to Rs 346,021. After this historic increase in gold prices, a wave of concern has spread in the market, while jewelry buyers and traders are facing severe financial pressure.
Experts say that the main reasons for the increase in gold prices include rising prices in the global market, depreciation of the rupee, and increased demand in the local market.
