PESHAWAR: A resolution has been submitted to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, proposing the nomination of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for the Nobel Peace Prize. This resolution was presented by PML-N MPA Shehla Bano to the provincial assembly secretariat.
The rationale behind the nomination is that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar have played a significant role in promoting peace and stability in the region through effective diplomacy.

The resolution highlights that the ongoing tensions between Israel, the United States, and Iran pose serious threats to global peace, which could escalate into a major crisis at any moment. In these critical circumstances, the Prime Minister, Field Marshal, and Foreign Minister are actively working towards establishing a ceasefire.
In recognition of their contributions to peace efforts, the resolution calls on the federal government to support their nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
