Pakistan’s security agencies have arrested three persons involved in espionage for the Indian Intelligence agency RAW in Nowshera, Bhallupur, and Neelum Valley, Azad Kashmir.
The arrested people confessed that they were given access to sensitive information by luring them with women and money on specific social media. The money was transferred to the accused through Easypaisa, crypto wallets, and bank accounts. The arrested accused confessed during interrogation that they were in constant contact with women associated with the Indian intelligence agency “RAW” through social media.
A case was registered against the accused under the Official Secrets Act, and after legal proceedings, the sentences were pronounced. India is using innocent citizens for nefarious purposes through activities like money laundering and honey traps.
Evidence of espionage and access to sensitive information by serving Indian officers in Pakistan has come to light before, defence experts say. The public urgently needs to be cautious of enemy intelligence agencies’ tactics while using social media, defence experts say.
