Babar Azam has added another golden chapter to the history of T20 cricket, surpassing West Indies’ legendary batsman Chris Gayle.

The Peshawar Zalmi captain achieved this feat with a brilliant batting performance against Karachi Kings in a crucial match of PSL 11, where he became the first player in the world to score the fastest 12,000 runs in the T20 format.

Babar Azam crossed this milestone in just 338 innings, while earlier this world record was held by Chris Gayle, who had achieved this feat in 343 innings.

Indian batsman Virat Kohli is third in this list with 360 innings and Australian opener David Warner is fourth with 368 innings.

Babar Azam has become the second Pakistani batsman to cross the 12,000-run mark, before him only Shoaib Malik achieved this honor, whose total runs are 13,571.

Babar Azam’s extraordinary performance has once again proven that he is the king of records and cricket fans around the world are congratulating him on this achievement.
